Fifth Edition Hypatia Ceremony
The Hypatia Prize, awarded by Barcelona City Council in collaboration with the Academia Europaea Barcelona Knowledge Hub, recognises Nobel Prize laureate Svante Pääbo for his groundbreaking work in sequencing the genomes of extinct human groups, a feat that has revolutionised our understanding of human evolution.
The award ceremony will take place on Monday, April 7, at 5:00 p.m. in the Saló de Cent of the Barcelona City Council, Plaça Sant Jaume, 1. During the event, Dr. Pääbo will give a lecture on his career and the impact of his research.
