Academia Europaea was founded in 1988
Barcelona Knowledge Hub (BKH) of Academia Europaea (AE) includes the Mediterranean and Southern European regions. The AE-BKH began its operations in 2013.
Mission
Is to promote scientific dissemination, built on excellence in scholarship.
Vision
Is to turn science into a shared common value.
Governance
Is governed by a Steering Committee and an Advisory Board.
What We Do
Alliances with collaborating institutions, such as the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona (RACAB), provide important added value to the activities developed by the AE-BKH.
The Barcelona Knowledge Hub of the Academia Europaea organizes a sphere of scientific dialogue that will be developed at two levels: The Frontiers of Science and Technology in Society, at a high academic level, and the Citizen Agora, for a wide local audience.
